Mr. Norman Gene Musick, age 81, of the Thacker’s Branch Road section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (April 3, 2020) at his home. Born October 23, 1938 in Russell County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Bascom Slemp and Elsie Stevens Musick. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a former employee of Ingersol-Rand. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Donnie Musick, Earl Musick, Randolph Musick, Kermit Musick, and Ernie Musick, and one sister, Mary Lennon.
Survivors include seven siblings, Barbara Marshall, Claude Musick and wife, Barbara, Joe Musick and wife, Carol, Mildred Stilwell and husband, Curt, Tim Musick and wife, Della, Gary Musick and wife, Vada, and Ronnie Musick; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In consideration of health and well-being of others, services will be a private family gathering with Rev. Paul Day officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosie Claypole Cemetery on the Big A Mountain section of Honaker, Virginia.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
