Phillip Dwayne Musick, age 39, of the Pine Creek section of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Wednesday (January 1, 2020) at his home. Born February 26, 1980, he was a son of Lacy Jay and Linda Faye Dye Musick of Pine Creek, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, he was employed as a logger for D & M Logging. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cora Dye.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Leslie Rebecca Chapman Musick; two children, Travis Musick and Emily Tilley both of Honaker, Virginia; one brother, Brian Musick and wife, Vickie of Honaker, Virginia and one sister, Kimberly “Sissy” Musick of Honaker, Virginia; two nieces, Hayli and Gracie and one nephew, Dylan and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leonard Meadows and Rondo Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Stuart Memorial Cemetery on Reynolds Ridge.
Pallbearers will be Jaden Webb, Jason Hale, Josh Musick, John Musick, Bryson Vance, Sam Dye, Tracy Musick.
Danny Musick and Shannon Fletcher will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Sunday at Honaker Funeral Home where an evening song service will be conducted at 7 PM.
