Mrs. Phyllis Ann Perkins Miller, age 68 of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (April 26, 2022) in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. Born January 10, 1954 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Lincous and Dorothy Inez Miller Perkins. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of Miller Creek Community Church. She enjoyed sewing and collecting dolls, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lacy and Hazel Taylor and paternal grandparents, Jim and Alta Perkins.
Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Charlie Miller of the home; two sons, Harvey Winfred Miller and Gary Wayne Miller both of Swords Creek; one grandson, Kevin Edward Miller of Swords Creek; six sisters; two brothers; special sister-in-law, Janice Rose; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the First Clarks Valley Church of Jesus Christ in Swords Creek, Virginia with Rev. Eugene Miller and Rev. Tommy Dye officiating. Interment will follow in the Bostic Call Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Miller, Scotty Miller, Danny Rose, Roger Taylor, Tony Hart, Chad Clifton, Joe Mullins, and Gary Austin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Horton and Gary Lawson.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Friday at the First Clarks Valley Church of Jesus Christ.
