Phyllis Breeding Presley Statzer, age 74, of Hansonville, Virginia passed away Wednesday (May 11, 2022) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born May 21, 1947 in Davenport, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Iline Jackson Breeding. She spent her early life in Buchanan County, and was a 1965 graduate of Council High School. She moved to Russell County in 1977 and worked as the manager of Bonanza. In later years, she was employed at Teleflex.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Breeding, Jr. and Harold Dean Breeding.
Survivors include two children, Christopher Presley and wife, Christine of Cleveland, Virginia and Roberta Rovegno and husband, Richard of New Port Richey, Florida; two grandchildren, Kevin Lee Willis and Krista Willis; brother, Eddie Breeding and wife, Edna Sue of Lebanon, Virginia’ sister, Joyce Mitchell of Honaker, Virginia; several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edward Tiller officiating. Entombment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home from 1 PM until 2 PM Sunday.
