Obituary

Mr. Randy Lee “Lil Bit” Harris, age 52, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Thursday (February 18, 2021) in Richlands, Virginia after a battle with cancer. Born January 16, 1969 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a grandson of the late Carson and Lucy Harris, whom raised him as their own. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a member of City on the Hill. He had enjoyed a twenty-nine-year career with Norfolk & Southern Railroad. He believed in keeping oneself busy and could fix anything, especially his antique washers. He enjoyed antiquing and woodworking, but most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his father, Bertlee Harris, his mother, Helen Ball Harris, and three brothers, James Harris, David Harris, and one infant brother.
Survivors include his wife of nearly eighteen years, Beverly Johnson Harris of the home; one son, Dylan James Harris of the home; two brothers, Danny Harris and Wayne Harris; one sister, Joyce Honaker and husband, Randy; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, work family, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Pastor Barry Absher and Rev. Dennis Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required. For those unable or uncomfortable attending, the funeral service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page as well as our webpage.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Monday.
Online condolences may be made at www.honakerfuneralhome.net.
