It is with a broken heart that I write the obituary of our dearly departed brother, Rickey Lee Rasnake, age 58, of Bristol, Virginia died March 27, 2023 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee following a long illness. Born September 20, 1964 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Garmon and Phyllistene Rasnake of Davenport, Virginia. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one niece, Cassie Marie Yates Owens.
Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Brianne Coleman of Cleveland, Virginia; one grandson, Malachi Lee Coleman and one granddaughter, Aurora Lee Coleman. He was one of the very best brothers to his siblings, Randall (Janice) Rasnake of Blountville, Tennessee, Audrey (Greg) Tiller of Rosedale, Virginia, Alesia Rasnake of Davenport, Virginia and Valerie (Jessie) Yates of Haysi, Virginia; nephews, Chris (Emily) Rasnake, Michael (Krista) Tiller and Corie (Constance Leonard) Yates; niece, Paige (Kathryn Edwards) Tiller; special great-nieces and great-nephew, Bella Rasnake, Madelyn Tiller, Scarlett Edwards and Mason Edwards.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 PM Friday at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia with Bro. Jessie Yates officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM-2 PM at the cemetery.
