Mr. Rickey Lee Sutherland, age 55, of the Big A Mountain section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (September 15, 2020). Born September 24, 1964, in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Charles Henry and Beulah Marie Rasnake Sutherland. He had spent most of his life in the area and was a 1982 graduate of Council High School. He had formerly been employed as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Karen Sutherland of the home; two brothers, Ralph Sutherland and Melissa of Abingdon, Virginia, and Lannie Sutherland of Cleveland, Virginia; two sisters, Norma Sullivan and husband, Ray of Abingdon, Virginia, and Barbara Sutherland of Asheville, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with the decedent’s wishes, all services will be a private.
