Mrs. Robin Ratliff Barton, age 54, of the Hurricane Creek section of Vansant, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday (December 29, 2021) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital surrounded by her family. Born December 3, 1967 in Grundy, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Jerry James and Janet Louise Blankenship Ratliff. Robin had a lot of health issues over the last several years, but enjoyed cooking and making sure friends and neighbors were fed a good meal, just like her mother, as long as her health permitted. A graduate of Grundy High School, she had spent most of her life in the Buchanan County area, but had lived in Manassas are for a few years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Barton, one son, Timmy Barton, Jr., two sisters, Tammy Sue Stiltner and Elizabeth Renea Walls, her maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.
Those life to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Jerry Robyn Barton and fiancée, Courtney Coleman; grandson, Colton Coleman; sister, Margaret Cathleen Ratliff Whited and husband, Danny of Swords Creek; one brother, Jason Dillard Ratliff and wife, Jessica of Vansant; two brothers-in-law, Marty Stiltner of Vansant, and Steven Walls of Manassas; nephew, Taylor Walls and wife, Rachel of Manassas; nieces, Amanda Fuller and Amber Coleman; special friends, Sherry Deel and Christine Bowman; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors whom she loved.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Betty O’Quinn and Drema Ray for their help.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Avery Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the Barton Cemetery at Vansant, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM.
