Mr. Rocky Allen Bond, age 59, of Rowe, Virginia passed away Monday (December 23, 2019) at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. Born December 13, 1960 in Grundy, Virginia, he was a son of Ruby Vance Bond of Rowe, Virginia and the late Remes Bond. A lifelong resident of the area, he was an active and faithful member of the Big Branch Church of Christ and he loved to spend his time fishing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cathy Bond and one brother, Henry Bond.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two sisters, Dana Davis and husband, Ken and Janie Helton and husband, Kenny; nephew, Chad Davis; niece, Alicia Waters and husband, Barry; uncle, Roy Bond; uncle, Walter C. Vance; special aunt, Brenda Vance; special cousins, Chris and Penny Ratliff; fiancée, Joann Horne; special friends, Woody Dales and Dean Bowman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Stanley Smith and Randy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadows-Vance Cemetery at Page, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Michael Justice, Jimmy Bond, Ralph Vance, Ricky Vance, Bill Ratliff, Ray Ratliff, Chris Ratliff, Raymond Webb, P.J. Justice and George Crosby.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Fletcher, Eddie Fletcher, Earl Baldwin, Jewel Burke, Willard Vance and Dean Bowman.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Thursday at Honaker Funeral Home where an evening song service will be conducted at 7 PM.
