Obituary for Ruby Marie Bond (Vance)

Mrs. Ruby Marie Vance Bond, age 84, of Rowe, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (June 10, 2020) at her home. Born March 18, 1936 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Sarah Ellen Stiltner Vance. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a member of the Big Branch Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Remes Bond, one daughter, Cathy Ann Bond, two sons, Henry Jefferson Bond and Rocky Allen Bond, and three brothers. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include two daughters, Dana Davis and husband, Ken and Janie Helton and husband, Kenny; one grandson, Chad Davis; one granddaughter, Alicia Waters and husband, Barry; brothers-in-law, Roy Bond and W.C. Vance; and special friends, Woody Dales, Gert and George Crosby, and Joann Horne.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Helping Hands Hospice for the loving care they provided.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday in the Rowe Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rowe, Virginia, with Ministers Stanley Smith and Randy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadows Vance Cemetery at Page, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be George Crosby, Ralph Vance, Jimmy Bond, Chris Ratliff, Ricky Vance, and Richard Stiltner.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Sunday at Rowe Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3723 Garden Creek Road, Rowe, Virginia.
