Sheila Ann O’Briant, age 78, passed away Friday (May 5, 2023) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born July 20, 1944 in Bluefield, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Harold and Rachel Virginia Gwinn Huff. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Bluefield, Virginia, where she served on their hospitality committee. She taught school in North Carolina and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and playing the piano.
Survivors include one son, Ronald L. O’Briant and wife, Tanya of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Katelyn O’Briant and Zack O’Briant; special friends, Nancy and Darrell Caudill, Vickie Cline, and Roger and Brenda Sword; her roommate, Alice Kinder and her daughter, Connie Kinder.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia with Minister Randy Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow.
