Mr. Stanley Neal Lester, age 59, of Bee, Virginia, passed away Monday (March 21, 2022) at his home. Born January 26, 1963 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Betty Tiller Lester and the late Elmer Nelson “Nick” Lester. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1981 graduate of Council High School. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Lowe Lester.
In addition to his mother, survivors include three children, James Lester and Wendy of Oakwood, Cindy Mullins and Brad of Haysi, and Rebecca Boyd and Josh of Council; one sister, Carol Street and husband, Marty; nine grandchildren, Grayson Mullins, Jedidiah Woodard, Jadelynn Woodard, Jaycee Lester, Zaylee Baldwin, Hayden Johnson, Sawyer Johnson, Ashlynn Johnson, and Paisley Boyd; nephew, Caleb Street; special friend and cousin, Darrell Tiller; canine companion, Skipper.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson and Rev. Edward Tiller officiating. Interment will follow in the Tiller Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dean Tiller, Larry Everett Tiller, Brad Mullins, Josh Boyd, Marty Street, and Caleb Street.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Tiller, Vernal Boyd, Tim Edwards, Anthony Edwards, Lonnie Tiller, and Guy Tiller.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Wednesday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
