Obituary for Steven Bradley Justice
Mr. Steven Bradley Justice, age 47, of Raven, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Friday (December 11, 2020) at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. Born October 26, 1973 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Brenda Sue Osborne Justice Viars and the late Eddie Justice. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a 1994 graduate of Garden High School. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Wilderness Tabernacle on Horn Mountain. He allowed the joy of the Lord to shine through him and enjoyed cutting up and making other people laugh. Always the go-to person, if anyone had a need, all they needed to do was make it known to Steven and he was more than willing to help out. He enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on Facebook, playing the harmonica in church and spending time with his family, especially his children.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thurman and Lydia Belle Horn Osborne and his paternal grandparents, Cleman and Virginia Stiltner Justice.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his two sons, Isaac Justice and Jacob Justice both of Richlands, Virginia; sister, Deanna Justice Tiller and husband, Jeffrey of Council, Virginia; brother, Timothy Edward Justice and wife, Peggy of Max Meadows, Virginia; step-father, John Lewis Viars of Honaker, Virginia; step-brother, Jeffrey Viars of Honaker, Virginia; step-sister, Sherry Viars Baker and husband, Richard of Pilgrim Knob, Virginia; niece, Haley Tiller; nephews, Caleb Tiller, Blake Justice and Ryan Justice; special children, Elijah Osborne, Trenton Gross, Trevor Gross, Theodore Clifton, Wade Clifton, Ayden Meadows and Ahleejah Meadows; several special aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Harrison and Rev. Mike Osborne officiating. Interment will follow in the Walter Osborne Cemetery on Osborne Mountain, Virginia. For those unable or uncomfortable attending, the service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page as well as our webpage.
Pallbearers will be George Isaac Justice, Jacob Eugene Justice, Tony Moore, Caleb Tiller, Ryan Keene, Poggy Meadows, Jeff Viars and Milton Ratliff.
Josh Justice, Willie Ratliff and Allen Keene will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Tuesday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM.
In lieu of flower, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in the form of donations to the Steven Justice Memorial Fund c/o Honaker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1620 Honaker, Virginia 24260.
Due to COVID restrictions, mandated by the governor, a mask is required for those in attendance and everyone is asked to maintain social distance.
