Mrs. Tammy Kaye Whited Perkins, age 58, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Saturday (June 27, 2020) at her home. Born September 5, 1961 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Walter Raleigh and Dulcie Ellen Boyd Whited. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a graduate of Honaker High School and had attended Southwest Virginia Community College. She had formerly been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Preferred Home Health. She was a member of Gardner Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed reading and loved to sing, but most of all spending time with her family and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Whited, and two sisters, Judy Marshall and Nancy Deel.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-eight years, Johnny Perkins of the home; two daughters, Amy Shepherd and husband, Travis of Princeton, West Virginia and Keisha Rasnake and husband, Chris of Honaker; six grandchildren, Bentley Shepherd, Makayla Hess, Dawson Shepherd, Daniel Shepherd, Samuel Rasnake, and Alexander Rasnake; three brothers, Raleigh Whited and wife, Rita and Billy Whited and wife, Hazel all of Swords Creek, and Randall Whited and wife, Margaret of Hardy, Virginia; special friends, Sharon Palmer, Connie Lester and her mother, Catherine; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jim Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Richardson Cemetery at Horton Ridge, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Travis Shepherd, Chris Rasnake, Gary Lawson, Jamie Royal, Jackie Perkins, and Jeremy Cook.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
