Tina Taylor Lockhart, age 84, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Monday (January 16, 2023) in Grundy, Virginia. Born July 20, 1938 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Anna Hess Taylor. A lifelong resident of the area, she worked as a CNA at Clinch Valley Medical Center and attended Hubbard’s Chapel and Swords Creek Block Church. Tina loved to spend time with her family, especially hunting mushrooms and gardening with her sisters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Gerald Lockhart; one son, Daniel Gerald Lockhart; three sisters, Flossie Hess, Bessie Kirk, and Visie Shrader; five brothers, Deward Taylor, Carl Taylor, Cecil Taylor, Clyde Taylor, Garland Taylor; one son-in-law, Wesley “Big Earl” Lee.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Lee of Keen Mountain, Virginia; one granddaughter, Heather Danielle Wilson of Asheboro, North Carolina; step-grandchildren, Wesley B. Lee and Nicholas Montgomery; one great-grandson, Parker Wilson of Asheboro, North Carolina; one sister, Gladys Hess of Manassas, Virginia and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday (January 21, 2023) in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Kinder officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Relatives and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM at the Honaker Funeral Home in Honaker, Virginia.
