Obituary for Virginia Annette White (Davis)

Mrs. Virginia Annette White, age 78, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Sunday (March 7, 2021) at her home surrounded by her family. Born June 26, 1942 in Swords Creek, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Myrtle Dye Davis. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a faithful member of Swords Creek Community Baptist Church. Always putting others’ needs ahead of her own, she enjoyed babysitting and taking care of family and her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, William Jeffery White and one sister, Gayle Musick.
Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-two years, Perry White of the home; four children, Renee Woolford and husband, Johnny of Honaker, Pam White and Gale Young of North Carolina, Lisa Dye and husband, Kevin of Swords Creek, and Brian White and wife, Diane of Rosedale; eight grandchildren, Jarrid White, Clark Dye and Kayla, Nikki Rowe and Cody, Cora Shelton and Cameron, Casey Dye and Hannah, Casey Harmon, Evan Harmon, and Kaiden White; special granddaughter, Jayda Rain; seven siblings, Billie Davis and Ronnie, Brenda Able, Barbara Payne, Diane Davis, Teresa Schweingruber, Denise Miller and Earl, and Wayne Davis and Tammi; brother-in-law, Joe Musick; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Home Nursing Company Hospice and her nurse, Lisa Lawson, RN, for the loving care they provided.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Arnold King and Rev. Les Ritchie officiating. Interment will follow in the White Cemetery at Swords Creek, Virginia.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Due to COVID restrictions mandated by the governor, a mask is required. For those unable or uncomfortable attending, the funeral service will be livestreamed on our Facebook page as well as our webpage.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
