Mrs. Vivian “Cissy” Helton, age 59, of Rowe, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (June 28 2022) in a Pikeville, Kentucky hospital. Born June 30, 1962 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Jack McGhee and Rebecca Jane Parr Smith. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Jehovah Witness faith. She and her husband owned and managed Ralph’s Country Club in Raven, Virginia. She enjoyed playing video games and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Brewster and Walter McGhee, and one son, Michael Helton.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Ralph Helton of the home; three children, Rebecca McGhee of Lebanon, Timothy David Helton of Bristol, Tennessee and Shawn Eric Helton of Dismal, Virginia; three sisters, Billie Carol Fugatt, Debbie Lane, and Barbara Vandyke; two brothers, Johnny McGhee and Jack “Slugger”McGhee; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Helton Cemetery on Stinson Ridge, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Tuesday at the Honaker Funeral Home.
