Obituary for Willie "W.L." Gent

Mr. Willie “W.L.” Gent, age 67, of Lebanon, Virginia, passed away Wednesday (December 11, 2019) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born August 23, 1952 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Louis Levi and Betty Jane Taylor Gent. He had spent most of his life in the Russell County area and was of the Baptist faith. He had formerly been employed as a truck driver for Mid Mountain Foods. He enjoyed working with his quarter horses and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include sisters, Billie Gilbert and husband, Ronnie of Lebanon, Jackie Lynch and husband, Dean of Richmond, Lisa Gent Cox of Bristol, Virginia, and Linda Garrett and husband, Clyde of Lebanon; nieces and nephews, Penny Gilbert, Paige Lynch, Cody Lynch, Taylor Cox, and Maddy Cox; great-nephew, Garrett Gilbert; a host of extended family and many friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Larry Robinson and Rev. Scott Price officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Jarrod Farmer, Rodney Mumpower, Wade Adams, Gary Chapman, Josh Jessee, Brandon Lampkins, Chad Lampkins, and Garrett Gilbert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Price, Wayne Price, Mark Ketron, Eddie Lampkins, Johnny Jessee, Lyle Lester, Sam Tignor, Danny Chaney, and Herman Gent.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home Saturday from 12:30 – 2:00 PM.
