Whenever I think of Misty, I remember her wonderful smile. I can't ever remember seeing her without that contagious smile on her face. She brought happiness with her when she entered a room. The few years I worked with her at HHS was an honor and a blessing to have known her. Patty Hunter

I haven't spoken to or seen Misty for years, but we were good friends in High School and were part of the Swords Creek Baptist Church together and did some babysitting together, too. She was a wonderful person and we had a lot of fun together - even that time she sprained her ankle toilet papering a house.

I am so very sorry to hear of my friend Misty’s passing. My first year at HHS, she helped me survive. She was in my first period class as an aid to Austin, a high functioning autistic student, and Misty and I immediately hit it off and became friends. We cared for Austin and one another. When I was running late, I would text her and she would open my door and cover for me...we had each other’s backs. We talked about the love for our children (Brayden, my heart breaks for you- your mom adored you), setting up new homes, goals for the future (I would read her assignments for online schooling). Shew...she was my friend, and I loved her. Even after I left HHS after one year, we kept in touch. I knew she was battling cancer. I didn’t know it was this bad because she always has a smile on her face and a joyful word. I have scoured my digital files for a picture. I know we took one together with Austin on awards day. I hope I find it. Misty, Rest In Peace my friend. You touched so many lives, including mine. 🙏❤️
